My mates

Okay there's no way I'm gonna comment on these pictures without sounding narcissistic or irritatingly whiny and unRoss. So I won't say much, I'll just put the title Andri gives. These pictures. It's US. Really really US. I love you guys.

Mana Kameranya?? (Where's the camera)
Okay, this one has a story behind it. The other day, the first time we took our pictures, we had no idea how much time do we have before we need to pose. And everybody kinda look in different directions. We planned to give this picture to Ria. And Andri said if Ria asked what's up with our eyes, she said to tell Ria there's a handsome guy passing by and we're all too busy looking his way. Hahaha

Nothing beats this

I was again, trying to take a picture of this elusive bird in my balcony. With my luck though, I managed to have its picture taken only to have it TURN ITS BACK ON ME. And its back is brown. So much for spotting the bird. Can you spot the little guy?

This was taken 2 or 3 days ago. I actually forget if Widi had really something in her eyes or just trying to avoid having her picture taken.

I look stupid. Damn it. This is what i get for trying to take it myself rather than count on Andri who'll end up deleting the picture. Andri and the delete button put together make a dangerous pair.

I hope this looks more decent.

This picture was actually APPROVED by Andri.

Now THIS, obviously WASN'T

Thai embassy Open House

This was the first thing that I found interesting. They sold this thing called durian chips. I've heard potato chips, I've heard of cassava chips, tasted them even. But durian? That's a first.

This was the stall selling some sort of garlic bread that's uncharacteristically sweet. It's a sweet and salty garlic bread.

See that guy on the left side? The one cooking? He's supposed to be the focus of this picture. But oh well, I couldn't tell the rest of the people to shoo.

Some Thai cuisine with exotic name

I notice though that Thai food can be pretty similar to Indonesian food. There's this particular stall selling cakes that looks suspiciously like Bengawan Solo. I needed to practically dragged my mother out of there before she kept buying stuffs.

More weird food. We didn't try this one.

I thought I'll include my drawings as well. This was done in Pangandaran.

My drawing of the rock fish. Beside it is this fish who has its eyes on one side of its body. Very interesting.

My (artist?) impression of Pangandaran - at least the part outside my room...

A Perfect Imitation

Somebody recommended us this restaurant selling Padangese food. It was the perfect imitation. There's no weird smell -you know, the weird curry smell in local curry. It even tastes very close to something we can get at Sari Bundo. No, I'm not kidding.

This was Ono busy with his toothpick....

Busy poking on the fish's eyeball. Errhhh...

On the outside of the restaurant. Man I love old buildings.

And the nightime scenery. This looked like something out of some sassy video clip, eh??

Wedy exchanging shoes with Dad. She looked stupid in it, despite dad's claim that his shoes are Bally and "how can Reebok looks better than Bally?"

And then they exhaged the shoes back. Oh well, they almost exchange the shoes back...

Dad in his most charming pose....overlook the price tag please.....

Why shopping at IMM may not be such a horrible experience

I need to apologise for being stupid about the whole my-MMC-is-too-short-for-the-slot thing. Yep. So, here are the pictures that are due. Ah yea, nobody -whoever you are- thanks for the uh...reminder about the adapter stuff.

The other day I went shopping, no I mean were forced to shop at IMM.

There were this bookshelf filled with files in assorted sizes and colours. I was supposed to pick one.

You need to be careful though, because on a closer look.....

They have files in POLKA DOTS!!! ooohhhh how horrible can it gets........

Now, this was our trolley.

Some stupid woman was messing around with our trolley when my dad noticed.
Stupid woman: I thought this is nobody's tlolley...
R: Trolley
Stupid: I thought nobody's using this tlolley...
R: TROLLEY GODAMMIT...

No, of course I had more sense than to say that out loud. But, seriously how can she think it's nobody's trolley when our stuff (plastic bags and all that) was ALL OVER THE TROLLEY. Some people are just not very good liars.

Some basket or something. Also in assorted colours. I noticed they have bad taste. Look at all those colours, you'd think you're looking at Lego.

Then my dad pointed out that, if we were to buy these black bowls, we can pretty much pretend we're eating at some fancy japanese restaurants like Ajisen. I thought having instant noodle inside it would kind of destroy the pretend effect...

My Dad couldn't quite decide whether to buy the black or blue bucket.

This one has got to take the cake.

We found this plastic shoes (My mom said that's to be used when we go to the toilet). And it's green. OOoooohhh..

I couldn't resist trying it on.....

Apparently, the purple ones were pretty popular because there were only 2 pairs left. And there were plenty of the shittier green ones.

Little piggy. Something Buika might like...

And the side view, for Buika's benefit. Haha

I wonder what this weird-looking device is for. It's not a spoon. It's not a fork. What the hell is it??

It says soap series. If I didn't know better I'd have thought it consisting of
1) Days of Our Lives
2) Days of Our Lives
3) Days of Our Lives...

We're going plastic now that plastic is cheap.... But plastic pants?? OOOoooohhhh. Keeps the rain away.

Heh. A pretty lousy fashion statement. And oh.....yea, that was my dad at the back...Note that I DIDN'T ask him to pose like that...

One of the reasons why going to IMM wasn't such a bad thing is that there was PLENTY to see.
Like this bucket full of live eels..........

And do you know that eels sleep STANDING?

Wow, I have to tell you, sleeping standing is a necessary skill to adopt for long bus travel when you lack sleep. The long journey won't be a problem if you can sleep standing. Without falling of course.

And this is my beloved now-destroyed buzzing phone. Akhhh. I'm gonna miss the buzzing little creep. Not the buzzing though, just the phone...

This is what boredom drives me to do
It's not about photography, really. It's all about being idle.
Boredom kills me.

I read this somewhere: The more we study the more we know. The more we know, the more we forget. The more we forget, the less we know. So why study?
I know. I know. It's a warped view presented by someone desperate to find an excuse. I just thought it interesting.
